How Can You Support AMPLIFY and SAIL as an Adult?
Becoming an Advisor
Adult Advisors for AMPLIFY support and guide youth as they learn advocacy and leadership skills. Youth involved in AMPLIFY are encouraged to develop new ideas and receive support and resources from Adult Advisors to help them create successful and meaningful projects.
To become an Adult Advisor:
Fill out the interest form.
Complete an interview with a committee of Adult Advisors and Core Youth from AMPLIFY.
Complete the required training and shadow a current Adult Advisor.
AMPLIFY’s age range of 11 to 22 years old provides genuine peer-mentor relationships, resulting in Adult Advisors stepping back to scaffold youth into learning advocacy and leadership skills through their work.
The extensive interview and training process are fundamental steps to building a truly youth-led organization. The process to become an Adult Advisor requires these steps to find adults who are comfortable in a youth-led space where they act as safety nets rather than leaders.

Other Ways to Volunteer:
Organizing and updating trainings and presentation calendars.
Writing and applying for grants.
Becoming a trained adult presenter who works with youth on presentations and trainings.
Supporting fundraising activities.
Working with and identifying donors.
General administrative support.
